JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will be responsible for basic go\no-go testing of cpu’s . The candidate will be using a vacuum wand to insert and remove cpu’s from a test platform. Training will be provided but candidate must have good vision and be capable of learning how to enter results into a relational database. Ideal candidate would have worked in a manufacturing or lab environment however a person who is reliable and is a quick learner should be successful in performing the tasks described.

Assignment length: 12 Month contract

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Test technician to assist DDBC TME engineers in evaluating DDBC product platforms plus providing internal/external customer support. Test technician, primary duties are evaluating platforms such as notebook, desktop, workstation, server, rack, and special project in producing test procedures; providing training and technical support to other testers; generating simple test scripts; assisting in production testing when required; setting up test fixture; assisting in lab cleanup; configuring new system for other testers; and providing customer support for Build Center products.

Skills to Match:
Education and Training: BS/AA degree in CE, EE, CET, EET or proven years of experiences. A+ Certification desirable
Skills: Must have good knowledge of PC IA architecture, PC system hardware peripherals, OS software installation/configuration/driver update, network fundamental and configuration, and at least 2 years of work experience in combination of testing desktop, server, notebook computer systems, and configuring network equipments such as hub/switch.

Please note that the manager has added a new requirement - “batch file creation knowledge is required”. As always I need someone who actually familiar with hardware servers, deploy or maintain and troubleshoot server hardware.

The person that takes on this role will work with the SSG Consolidated lab providing lab support for software engineers including Windows and Linux installation and hardware installation and upgrades.

Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, implements, and maintains computer systems to meet functional objectives of the business.
Will have responsibility with design, implementation and some project management of small teams.

CUSTOMER JOB DESC: Windows system administration, including:
- Active Directory
- OS Install, upgrade
- Domain setup and administration
- Internet Information Services administraton
- Knowledge of RAID file system setup and recovery
- Would be nice: knowledge of Services For Unix (e.g. interoperabilitywith Linux)
- Would be nice: Active Directory serving NIS to Linux systems (single signon)

Linux system administration
- Knowledge of Redhat and SuSE install and upgrade
