Sales & Process Engineer – Beaverton, OR

We have an immediate full-time opportunity for a dynamic Sales and Process Engineer to join our Clients’ team, supporting overall company objectives and growth initiatives.

The successful candidate will have strong expertise in the pulp and paper recovery process, probably gained as a successful plant performance engineer from a pulp and paper company or supplier to the industry; will be responsible for developing and generating technical solutions and presenting detailed economic impact analyses; will develop a economic justification tool for use by colleagues; will develop comprehensive proposals and presentations; will support negotiations; will support the development of new projects; and be a strong communicator with good interpersonal skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Masters degree in Mechanical, Process, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Strong foundation in business and economics of plant processes
• Recovery boiler process engineer with 5-10 years + of operational experience;
• Process engineering and thermodynamics background with experience in Kraft recovery process needed
• Proven track record in dynamic sales environment
• Excellent, proven communication skills with ability to verbalize and record complex technical and non-technical issues
• Highly motivated, self-directed with great enthusiasm for improving chemical recovery performance and power boilers
• Desire to participate in ongoing training to increase proficiency in technical and sales platforms
Position based at a Company in Beaverton, Oregon headquarters. Travel requirements 50% of time domestically and eventually internationally.

Compensation: Depending on experience, range about $70K - $80K

Environmental Process Engineer – Product Development for the Power Industry

The successful candidate will have a proven background in reducing the environmental impact of coal-based energy production from NOx, SOx to other pollutants such as mercury and PM. He/she will be well-informed or involved in technical aspects of Federal and State legal emissions legislation. The ideal candidate will have worked for an engineering manufacturer, consulting company, architect engineer, power producer, or government enterprise (EPA or similar body) tasked with critical technical and leadership roles. An experience mix of technical supervision and customer management is desirable. Candidate will access existing relationships within the power and research industry to accomplish his/her goals.

The candidate will work directly with the Director of Research & Development to: develop new products and projects; generate technical solutions and present detailed economic analyses; develop comprehensive proposals and presentations; and develop developmental opportunities in conjunction with clients, other group (Clyde Bergemann) companies and external alliance partners. Candidate will also serve as the engineering representative performing technical interface with customers, customers’ architect engineers, subcontractors, internal engineering and non-engineering groups and will coordinate the technical information flow between multiple parties.

Position based at the company in Beaverton, Oregon headquarters. Travel requirements <30% of time domestically. International travel requirements minimal.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters degree in Mechanical, Process, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent required as minimum.
  • Masters degree in Business or equivalent desirable but not required.
  • Process engineer with 5-15 years + of operational experience; process engineering and thermodynamics background.
  • Excellent, proven interpersonal communication skills with ability to verbalize and record complex technical and non-technical issues.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed with great enthusiasm for addressing global environmental challenges.
  • Must be open to new developments.
